So much for getting another 6 to 10 inches of snow. It’s turned mostly to sleet and, even worse, freezing rain. Apparently sleet (or ice pellets) is a pretty common phenomenon here in the eastern U.S. Having lived my entire life here (so far, anyway), of course I am familiar with sleet, but it seems to have become more common. That may have to do with living closer to the coast than I used to but, in any case, I don’t like it. It’s hard to plow, doesn’t melt well, and isn’t worth a bucket of snot for cross-country skiing.
Bucket of snot?? Where did that come from? A little early for a winter weather rant, I know, but why wait? Especially since Karan seems to be getting all the snow all the way out on the left coast.
