The Light

For years I was a dedicated listener to NPR’s Morning Edition on my ride in to work and All Things Considered on my way home.  Even when my commute shrank from about an hour each way to about ten minutes I kept listening, only more so at home than in the car.  I was a public radio news junkie, and I have to confess to having probably more than my share of “driveway moments.”  A few years ago, though, I gave it up for a while; it was just getting to be too much.  Even though I gradually returned to listening to the news, and reading more of it online than I ever had access to before, I feel it coming on again.
