As for many others at this time of year, yesterday was high school graduation day for our eldest daughter.
As senior class president (president for life now, I guess) she had not only a major hand in planning yesterday’s ceremonies, which went off very well, but received her diploma last and got to have the last word.
It was worth the wait.
Technology, unfortunately, was not my friend yesterday. Between a 120-minute tape that ran only 65 minutes in my digital video camera (yes, it was rewound all the way) and slow recharge/shutter lag on my digital camera I missed some key moments. But, oh well, graduation happened anyway, and all the work of the last thirteen years paid off.
